Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

First State Bank of Warren, wholly-owned by Bradley Bancshares will soon combine into Drew Bancshares where they will share a common name, Commercial Bank.

Why are we making this change?
Operating two banks in markets 16-miles apart is an antiquated business model that rarely exists today. Unifying our holding company structure and adopting one common name will serve the best interests of our customers, employees, shareholders and communities. This will allow us to fully leverage our combined strengths with a name shared across all eight banking locations while continuing to empower our staff of local bankers making local decisions.

How will this benefit our customers and communities?
In our mobile society, our customers will gain greater access and convenience by being able to conduct business at any of our eight banking locations. We’ll gain back-office synergies and greater brand awareness with a common name. Plus, as the largest bank headquartered in southeast Arkansas, our staff will benefit by an improved internal structure, tools, and technology that allow us to work more collaboratively with our customers which ensures residents the ability to do all of their banking at home.

How will this benefit our employees?

We’ll be a largest bank in Southeast Arkansas which will provide varied opportunities for employees to advance their careers as well as consider other job opportunities at any of our locations. Another major employee benefit is that employees participate in the rewards for the fruits of their labor by virtue of a profit-sharing plan that covers both banks and will be continued to be sure our team shares meaningfully in our success.

What will be the resulting name for the Bank?

Commercial Bank is known as The Community Builder which harkens back to the reputation we forged under the leadership of Bennie Ryburn, Sr. Commercial Bank is also a name that is already known in across all southeast Arkansas markets. Operating as Commercial Bank helps us remain true to our heritage and hold fast to the standard set for us that regardless of what happens in other markets around the state, we will build our community as a locally owned, locally operated community bank where decisions are made in Bradley, Calhoun and Drew Counties.

Is bank ownership or leadership changing?
There is no change in our bank’s ownership or management. Our Board of Directors will increase to allow directors from First State Bank of Warren to join in the direction for the combined institution. After all, these individuals have been a part of our culture and success, and should have the same seat at the table.

Will any changes be made to the Commercial Bank logo?
No changes to our logo, however our colors have recently changed to green and white which will soon be recognized in signage and branding. The new color combination is a throwback to Commercial Bank’s colors in the 1970s-1980s while incorporating the colors of First State Bank of Warren.

Will there be down time as systems are converted?

Our online banking services, Bill Pay, Mobile Deposit, mobile banking through the APP, and 24-Hour Info Line will be down Friday, June 21 until Sunday, June 23. All other banking functions should be unaffected.

We look forward to continuing to provide you with the best in banking products and services.
